Tenacious Solutions, LLC is seeking a Data Scientist with a Secret Clearance (or higher) to assist a federal client onsite in Washington, D.C. The Data Scientist will perform advanced analytics, machine learning modeling, statistical reporting, and data visualization in direct support of our client.

Note this position is contingent upon contract award.

Primary job duties and responsibilities:

• Apply data and technical expertise in analysis, data mining and visualization of data using Business Intelligence tools and data development platforms.
• Assess data quality using SQL and data analysis techniques that improve client-reporting capabilities.
• Track technology trends in data science and inform clients how this technology will benefit the future development platform.
• Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues.
• Understand data needs and construct data pipelines for systematizing and fast-tracking data preparation.
• Perform extensive data analysis based on the client's data.
• Maintain and enhance automated Tableau dashboards.
• Develop Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) pipelines.
• Build predictive models for data-based decision making.
• Deliver interactive dashboards and visual analytics.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or a STEM related field.
• Experience working within the Department of Justice.
• A secret clearance at a minimum is required, with the ability to obtain and hold up to a TS/SCI clearance.
• 3+ years in applied data science or analytics roles.
• Proficiency in Excel, Python, R, and Tableau (or equivalent).
• Experience with law enforcement or large statistical datasets.
• Proficiency with data extraction, transformation and modeling.
• Extensive experience with advanced analytics, machine learning modeling, statistical reporting, and data visualization.
• Strong strategic communication skills.
